Der Hochschulpreis für den besten Abschluss im Wintersemester 2022/2023 geht an Laura Cirstea, Absolventin des englischsprachigen Studiengangs Print Media Technologies.
Der Förderverein der HdM vergibt einmal pro Semester den mit 500€ dotierten Hochschulpreis und ehrt damit nicht nur eine besonders gute Abschlussnote und Studienleistung, sondern auch das Engagement, das die Studierenden darüber hinaus gezeigt haben.
Der Hochschulpreis wurde Laura Cirstea im Rahmen der Absolventenverabschiedung am 28. Juli 2023 überreicht. Ihre überragende Leistung und ihr unermüdliches Engagement für eine Willkommenskultur am Campus wurde von Johanna Kutter, der Geschäftsführerin des Fördervereins, in ihrer Laudatio hervorgehoben:
„It is my honor to present the HdM University Award to an exceptional graduate who excelled not only academically but also in enriching the diverse community on our campus. Laura Cirstea has recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Print Media Technologies, graduating with the top grade of 1.0. This outstanding result demonstrates Laura’s motivation and talents in her field of study. Prof. Jansen wrote in his nomination letter „Laura’s committent and persevierance are exceptional. Her Bachelor thesis in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute was one of the best during recent years.”
However, Laura’s academic record is only one aspect of what makes her deserving of this award. During her studies, Laura showed an admirable commitment to fostering intercultural exchange and supporting international students at the HdM. Her Program Print Media Technologies hosts students from over 50 nations. And with her personal background – she grew up in Italy – Laura recognized the importance of cross-cultural communication and integration. She actively facilitated events and networks to connect domestic and international students. Laura’s voluntary initiatives created welcoming spaces for people from various backgrounds. In these divisive times, Laura’s work empowered meaningful dialogue and understanding. Her efforts built an inclusive environment where everyone could feel respected.
Laura Cirstea is a shining example of both academic excellence and social responsibility. Her well-rounded achievements as a student, peer mentor, and intercultural ambassador make her truly deserving of the HdM University Award. I am delighted to present this honor to Laura, and I am excited to see the positive impact she will continue making as an alumna.
